When Brian OcConner had to find a 10-second car to replace the torched Mitsubishi Eclipse he lost to Dom Torreto he just as easily could have found a wrecked 1995 993 Turbo to build for Race Wars. 

The project might have taken a little less effort with the Porsche. The stock 993's 1/4 mile is  12.2 seconds compared to the Supra's 13.1.
